We had some great trips to Tillies bank in 2010. For a period of time there was great life out there as this video shows. In with the dolphins and whales were some highly spirited tuna and this one in particular took well over an hour to get to the iron.
October fishing was hot this year. We had a great trip down to the south east corner of Stellwagen and had tons of tuna on the surface and down deep. We trolled up a nice slot fish that we put on ice and then broke out the light jigging gear. We shot some video of Pete with his hands full on a 70" tuna which we tagged and released.
We caught Jaw's Junior. On June 26th, 2010, the crew of the SWEET DREAM III tagged and released a 7' Great White Shark while tuna fishing. Enjoy this rare up close encounter with one of the worlds most awesome animals!
Haddock bonanza. Here is a fun video from our first trip in 2010. We fished Tillies Bank exclusively for haddock and we were quite successful and had fun doing it!
We are heavy into the preparations to launch the SWEET DREAM III for the 2010 season. Check her out on dry land land as she is nearly ready for splash down for 2010. We will be cod and haddock fishing with a few weeks.
In 2007, the crew of the SWEET DREAM III placed 3rd in the Nantucket Big Game Battle. The tape for this video was shot over the course of the tournament using HI-8 tape, not quite to standards of todays high definition camera's. We just (2010) acquired a MAC so we took to editing the tape and came up with a what we think is a pretty good first video. In 2010 we will have a new high definition camera on board and will try to put together video of your trip when we can. For now, we hope you enjoy this one.
